I am mostly self-taught, starting in Berlin in 1986.
The first market I ever attended was in Hoensbroek in The Netherlands and I try to get back there every year to meet old friends and customers.
My first career, as a doctor working mostly for the Forces, took me to many interesting places and I have made and sold pots in Germany, The Netherlands, Italy and France, as well as the UK.
Since 2006 I have taken up pottery full-time and work with white-bodied earthenware and alkaline glazes.
